Donnette Thayer recorded two albums with Steve under the name "Hex". She's a wonderful singer and songwriter and both come through clearly in her solo album "Chaos and Wonder". First released in the late 1990s, it is available again on Pollyana Cowgirl records, and you can hear some of the songs at her myspace page. Try and track down Hex and Vast Halos too, they're both excellent. |

Tony Pucci is producing the album "Songs For Jenny" which will feature contributions from a huge number of artists, including Steve Kilbey, Tim Powles, John Kilbey, Donnette Thayer and Margot Smith. All proceeds from the album will go towards finding a cure for ALS, or "Lou Gehrig's Disease" - Tony is taking donations to finance the album's release through Heyday Records. Many of the other artists are on the Kilbeys' "Karmic Hit" label, so this album should have great resonance with Church fans. Dig deep and put your fandom to good use! They have also set up a MySpace page. |

37,000 readers of The Age Entertainment Guide voted Under the Milky Way as the best song of the last 21 years. The candidates were chosen by 100 people in the music business and the voting itself was done by the general public. This is a fantastic result for The Church and for Steve (and Kaarin!) who wrote the song. Congratulations to everybody! |

Independent magazine "Smells Like Chimpanzee" have a fantastic interview with Marty and Dare Mason, who record together as "Noctorum". Click the "Chimpanzee Archives" link on the right and download the August 2006 issue - it's 9MB and has some nice pictures of Marty and Dare. The rest of the magazine is interesting too, and several other issues are available at the cost of only one mouse click :) |

I love this video, and I have to thank Glenn Page from VioletTown.com for having it on his site for so long. The Church appeared on a Swedish TV show called "Casablanca" (thanks Par!) and played Unguarded Moment and Almost With You. |
